Night Time Temperature: 22–25°C
Humidity: 70–90%
Diet: A varied diet consisting of leafy greens, vegetables, fruits and insects all supplemented appropriately

Currently feeding well and growing steadily on a varied diet. Regular misting and access to clean water are provided to maintain hydration and the high humidity levels required by this species.

Additional Notes

Native to the tropical forests of Sulawesi, these remarkable lizards are well known for the large sail-like crest that develops along their tail and back as they mature. They are excellent climbers and swimmers and require plenty of space to exhibit their natural behaviours.

As adults, they become large and powerful reptiles that require substantial enclosures and dedicated care. Prospective keepers should be prepared for the long-term commitment involved in housing and maintaining this impressive species.

Best suited to intermediate or experienced reptile keepers with the space and resources to accommodate their adult size and environmental requirements.
