Current Care

Enclosure:
Currently housed in a 4x2ft terrestrial setup with ample clutter, multiple hides, and good security to encourage confident behaviour.

Heating & Temperature:

  • Warm Side: 30–32°C

  • Cool Side: 22–24°C

  • Night Temperature: 20–22°C

  • No additional humidity required beyond normal room levels—light misting only during shed if needed

Furnishings:

  • Multiple hides (warm and cool)

  • Clutter items such as cork bark, branches, and foliage to promote security

  • Secure water bowl for drinking and occasional soaking

  • Lignocel, aspen, or bioactive substrate  

Feeding:
Feeding very well on chicks and mice  

Additional Notes

  • Bright-eyed, alert, and feeding perfectly

  • Sheds cleanly and regularly with appropriate humidity

  • A hardy, beginner-friendly species with a great reputation for ease of care
